Kodak Charmera Keychain Camera – a mini digicam you can clip to your keys
The Kodak Charmera Keychain Camera is a mini digicam built for keys that shoots photos and records video, sold as a blind box with six styles plus a secret edition. It is a working Kodak camera small enough to live on a bag charm, with a rechargeable battery and a micro SD card slot for storage. The package contains one of the six styles or the secret edition at random, so the exact look is a surprise until you open it. The camera uses a CMOS photo sensor, optical image stabilization, a 35 millimeter focal length and a maximum aperture of f/2.8, and it saves photos as JPEG and video as AVI.
The appeal is the digicam revival in a form you can carry every day. The camera offers four frames and seven filters in photo mode, which let you change the look of an image before you shoot. It outputs 1440 by 1080 with a 1.6 megapixel sensor and a 4:3 aspect ratio, giving a compact, retro-style image. For collectors, the blind-box format adds the fun of not knowing which colorway you will get, with the added chase of the secret edition.
Standout features that matter in use
- Photo and video recording: The camera supports still photo taking and video recording. Photos are saved as JPEG and video as AVI.
- Frames and filters: Photo mode provides four frames and seven filters to change the appearance of images.
- Image output and optics: Images are 1440 x 1080 from a 1.6 megapixel CMOS sensor with optical image stabilization, 35 millimeter focal length, f/2.8 maximum aperture and 4:3 aspect ratio.
- Storage: It has a TF micro SD card slot that accepts cards from 1GB to 128GB. The memory card is not included in the package.
- Power and packaging: The unit has a built-in rechargeable battery. Each single box contains one of six styles or the secret edition randomly, and the product image is for illustration only.
Who it makes a good gift for
It fits beginners, teens and adults interested in the Y2K digicam revival or blind-box collecting. The small keychain form makes it a natural birthday gift, stocking stuffer, Secret Santa pick or white-elephant surprise. The surprise of which style is inside creates a moment of reveal when the box is opened, which works well for gift exchanges.
Givers who want a Kodak-branded mini camera that can clip to keys or a bag will find it easy to hand over with no setup beyond adding a card and charging. It is a compact option for someone who likes collecting small cameras or who enjoys trying different frames and filters for a playful look.
What is worth knowing before you buy
The camera uses a micro SD card that is not included, so you will need to supply your own TF card up to 128GB. Each single box is a random style from six options plus a secret edition, and the product photo is for illustration only, so the exact colorway is a surprise. Output is 1.6 megapixels at 1440 x 1080 with a 4:3 aspect ratio, which suits a playful, retro look rather than high-resolution printing. The camera saves photos as JPEG and video as AVI, and it relies on a rechargeable battery with no further power details provided in the data.
If you want a tiny Kodak camera that lives on keys and arrives as a little surprise, it is worth getting one in hand now so it is ready for the next birthday, holiday or gift exchange.
